This is the first time I arrived in the city center by the sea and it was so cool!! We could see the Space Needle and all the skyscrapers! I hardly believed I was in Seattle! Well, I hardly believe that I’m on holidays almost in the other side of the world! The capital of grunge and SuperSonnics was on my feet, although at the end turned to be likely more the capital of Starbucks and Microsoft…”viva” the consumerism!
In the afternoon we were quite tired so we rested in the hotel, where a quite unpolite Indian man, who Cecil managed so well (this girl is good in business!), attended us. In the evening, we walk to Pike Place Market, which was closed and ended up having dinner at the Pink Door (which literally had a pink door!). At night Cecilia arranged to meet with her classmates from high school to have some wines……jejejeje. Goodnight……hip!
Segon dia a Seattle! Després d’una rutina matinal, cap a Freemont (el barri dels artistes!) a veure cases flotants i un troll sota la highway ( aquest americans estan sonats!). Allí ens vam trobar “la Bella i la Bèstia”.
Davant del Freemont Market, com sempre mal aparcats, per treure una foto from the happy family waiting for the interurban…which never arrived!
Esperem 5 minuts per deixar passar els vaixells, en un pont llevadís. Després de preguntar a una freaky couple, arribem als locks and the salmon ladders. Vaya peazooooo salmones!!!! Núria descobreix el cicle de la vida i queda impressionada de veure com els salmons es sacrifiquen per perpetuar l’espècie.
Per arribar a Kerry Park ,seguim una canoa sobre d’un cotxe i un senyor la mar de divertit , que fa servir el seu dit index com a intermitent. Vistes panoràmiques del skyline des de Kerry Park, ohhhhhhhh! I un Italià, en Luca.
La Cecilia ens deixa per anar a conèixer els seus nebots (relative everywhere in the World!!). The underground tour, aquesta gent de qualsevol cosa en fan una atracció: Seattle fangòs, inundat de merda per no fer un sewage com déu mana i després d’un foc, recontrucció de la ciutat per sobre del nivell anterior.
Un salmonet per acabar el dia i un cambrer tímid o hyper educat?
